Hey, Mr. V,
You are becoming so much more mature every day. I am so proud of the things you are learning and observing. You are so quick, and so observant. Stay that way always and you'll become very smart and you'll be able to do anything you want to.
I love your determination - that you say "I can!" instead of "I can't!" and that you know that you can do hard things. I feel like if I never teach you anything else - if you only learn that you can do hard things, and that you can do things, then you will be just fine.
I love that you know you can pray to Heavenly Father when you are scared or hurt or lonely, and you have that perfect childlike faith that He will answer your prayers and send His Spirit to be with you and comfort you. Isn't that wonderful knowledge!
When I look at you, and when I watch how well you've grown up, I feel like less of a failure as a person. I shouldn't take too much credit, though - I was blessed with a little boy who has a gentle, loving, earnest spirit. And boy am I glad - because I know there a spirits that would probably have been a lot more challenging. I love that you are humble and teachable, and submissive and "willing to submit to all things" - I could take a few lessons from you in humility. I sure could.
I want to teach you about Jesus. We're going to talk about Him more often, because He is the Creator of the world, and your Savior - and if you never learn another thing in this life - if I can only teach you about the Savior, then my job as a mother will be complete.
Believe in Him, read the scriptures, and pray always - and you will be just fine.
Your mother,
Mamãe
