To V – Please Stay With Me Forever

Dear Mr. V,

You amaze me. You are so smart, so observant, and so wonderful.

I am sorry that I haven’t been more patient with you. I used to be entertained by all your funny games and silly things you say and do, but lately, I’ve been stressed and I’m letting that come out in how I treat you. That’s not fair to you. You’re just an innocent little boy, trying to please your Mamãe, and figuring out the world around you. All you want is me to adore you. And I do, even if I’ve been really bad about showing it.

Your uncle R died a week ago. He was my parent’s oldest son. When I think about uncle R, I think about you, and how sad I would be to lose you.

Please stay with me forever. I’m so grateful that you can stay with me forever, even if you go back to Heaven before I do. But I would really be grateful if you could do your best to stay here with me on this earth for as long as I live.

I promise I will be more patient with you. I will let the messes and playing and loud noises be artwork and dance and music to me. Because it won’t last long.

I want to cherish every moment with you as if it were my last.

I am all too aware how quickly it may become our last moment.

For Time and Eternity,

tua Mamãe
